Compute the mean, the median, and the mode for each of the columns in the table.

Based solely on the relationship between the mean and the median you calculated for each column in Question 2, would you say that the distribution of scores in that column is symmetrical, negatively skewed, or positively skewed?

Transform the data in the mood column in Question 1 by subtracting the mean that you computed for mood in Question 2 from each mood score.

Compute the mean of the set of transformed mood scores in Question 4.  (Hint:  You should get 0.  Question for thought: Why?)

Square each of the N=5 transformed mood scores that you obtained in Question 4.  Compute the mean of these N=5 squared transformed mood scores.Square each of the N=5 transformed mood scores that you obtained in Question 4.  Compute the mean of these N=5 squared transformed mood scores.

For each sample of n=4 mood scores that you list, compute the mean of that sample of mood scores.

What is the mean of the (five) sample means that you computed in Question 7?  How does that compare to the mean of the raw mood scores that you computed in Question 2.

Comparing to the first mean in question 2 which was 3.2 and the computed mean which was 3.4, there is not much of a difference but an increase of .20.
