Statistics Project

Project Outline:

Organization: Freestanding ER Services

Title: ER Operations Manager

Your IT department provided you data on patients that received ER services, their GHHS, and their recovery time. Prepare a report to share with the owners of the facility that will help you make informed decisions about how long you can expect a patients’ recovery time would be based on their GHHS. Based on your findings provide recommendations on your plan moving forward to improve the functioning of your facilities in generating revenue. Prepare a report that addresses each of these areas.

Scenario: You are the manager of a ER clinic. You are planning for the month of October and want to know what expected patient daily volume will be. Use Linear predication to forecast daily patient volume based on data for the month of October. Present your forecasts based on your findings.

Description of each Section

Purpose: Identify the purpose of the analysis in this section. What questions do you hope to answer?

Importance : State and explain the importance of this analysis to the department/organization. How can the findings be used?

Hypothesis : What are your null and alternate hypothesis? (if it is exist)

Variables:  List all variables (IV’s and DV’s) identify what type of variable they are, explain how they will be measured, and how they will be collected.

Sample Size :State your sample size and when data was collected.

Methodology : State the statistical method used in this section.

Findings : Present findings on results of your test. Copy and paste relevant results from your excel calculations here. Present findings using APA formatting.

Interpretations/Implications :Interpret what the findings mean. Discuss what the department/organization should do based on these findings in order to improve the facility, or in planning.
